About PET SAVERS NJ

PetSavers NJ Logo

Our mission is to reduce the high euthanasia rate of healthy animals in and around Gloucester County NJ by keeping pets out of the shelter and in their homes and by advocating for shelter adoptions.  We do this through effective, collaborative partnerships in our community and the structured delivery of core programs.

Specifically:

We advocate and facilitate Spay/Neuter and Vaccination for all pets and Community Cats.  Since 2016, we helped Spay or Neuter and Vaccinate almost 2000 animals.

We provide pet food support to families who might otherwise have to surrender their pets.  Since 2016 we have delivered over 10000 pounds of dry food and almost 600 cases of canned pet food to pet owners in need of food support.

We educate the public about animal behavior and the appropriate care and training for companion animals.  Specifically we present to classrooms, community groups and local leaders on the best ways to increase adoptions and reduce euthanasia in our community.  We offer trainingand facilitate training to prevent surrender for behavior issues.

We advocate adoption from local shelters and rescue groups, and have close partnerships with several Gloucester County based rescues.  We will refer the general public to appropriate accredited shelter or rescue when they are seeking a pet.
